What are the real objective of Donald Trump to announce the deployment of his armada to the Korean Peninsula when the navy has  not gave any orders to the aircraft carrier Vinson strike group to actually move to the Korean Peninsula and even the Carl Vinson strike group does not have the missile to shoot down any ballistic missiles launch from the North Korean side without others ships based in Japan. The US navy need to send others to be a real deterrent to prevent any ballistic missiles launch from North Korea.Until the North Korean see real capacity to stop them they will continue to view this as a bluff by Donald Trump and weaken any credibility of US in  future negotiations.

Finally it's the armada

This week the US navy has confirmed that USS Carl Vinson battle group and   guided missile submarine has in fact arrived at the sea off the Korean Peninsula. Now everyone waits for another tweet from President Trump to know what he intends to do to get North Korea to end it's nuclear and missile ambition. Or will he surprise everyone with no tweet or press conference until after he has committed US forces to end North Korea regime?

When Donald Trump announced that the US is sending a great armada to the Korean Peninsula it seems likely it was an attempt to rattle the North Korean rather than a serious order to prepare for an attack against its nuclear and missile facilities after the US carrier Carl Vinson was spotted heading to Australia in the other​ direction. Then there was maybe US submarine heading to the Korean Peninsula. All the talk of war turned out to be empty at the time with no military assets sent until after criticism from many analyst that this has confused US allies whether US has credibility to do what Donald Trump says about North Korea. Now the US navy has announced that the Carl Vinson battle group is in fact heading to the Korean Peninsula after all. Whether it was purposely done to rattle Kim Jong Un or a misguided announcements by Donald Trump for TV remains unknown.

Will this failed missile test push Kim Jong Un to do a nuclear test to show his people that he has the ability to stand up against US president effort to pressure North Korea to abandon it's provocative nuclear and missile ambition? Most likely Kim Jong Un will respond with another major demonstration of his military capabilities after having it's missiles paraded the day before as a show of strength before this failed missile test. He would view this major embarrassment as unacceptable and must be wiped clean with something bigger and more provocative such as a nuclear test or intercontinental ballistic missile test.
