What are the real objective of Donald Trump to announce the deployment of his armada to the Korean Peninsula when the navy has  not gave any orders to the aircraft carrier Vinson strike group to actually move to the Korean Peninsula and even the Carl Vinson strike group does not have the missile to shoot down any ballistic missiles launch from the North Korean side without others ships based in Japan. When Donald Trump announced that the US is sending a great armada to the Korean Peninsula it seems likely it was an attempt to rattle the North Korean rather than a serious order to prepare for an attack against its nuclear and missile facilities after the US carrier Carl Vinson was spotted heading to Australia in the other​ direction. Then there was maybe US submarine heading to the Korean Peninsula. All the talk of war turned out to be empty at the time with no military assets sent until after criticism from many analyst that this has confused US allies whether US has credibility to do what Donald Trump says about North Korea. Now the US navy has announced that the Carl Vinson battle group is in fact heading to the Korean Peninsula after all. Road to Armageddon in Asia

Just last week we have seen US bombed the Syrian airbase  with 59 cruise missiles that US believed where chemical weapons were launched by the Assad regime against civilians in rebel held territory during the dinner hosted by Donald Trump for Chinese President Xi. Reports have since emerged that both presidents had long and  informal talks about North Korea during those days. The Syrian bombing have demonstrated that Donald Trump is more than willing to use military forces to make a point. President Trump has ordered the US carrier Carl Vinson to the Korean Peninsula and other military assets in Pacific on standby while President Xi has ordered 150000 troops to the Korean border should indicate both presidents had joined in an effort to pressure North Korean​ ruler Kim Jong Un to abandon it's provocative nuclear and missile ambition. The subsequent use of the biggest bomb ever developed by the US against ISIS in Afghanistan put further message to North Korea that US can do much more damage than what the cruise missiles did to the Syrian airbase.

What options do US really have when dealing with North Korea ? We know US can only use its superior air power to strike at North Korean nuclear and missile facilities. Any follow up action in North Korea will definitely be in coordination​ with the Chinese government since nobody knows what will happen in North Korea after such attack. There may be a total collapse of the regime in Pyongyang or Kim Jong Un may survive to lashes out against its neighbours China Japan South Korea and to a lesser extent  Russia with devastating results for the region and the rest of the world.

To execute any action against North Korea will risk major reprisals from Kim Jong Un unless his entire regime is killed and replaced with more moderate figures​. Such possible person was his half brother Kim Jong Nam whose murder in Kuala Lumpur may have pushed his son who has since been in hiding under the protection of the Chinese government in China into the political struggle to take over the dynasty established by his great grandfather Kim Il Sung.

Now what is needed is the trigger from North Korea to set the world in collision with Armageddon in Asia.

Saviour or Destroyer ?

Everyday we see and hear from the Trump administration that they are here to save America from the failed policy of Obama presidency. They accuses the former president having ordered wiretapping on the Trump Tower and recently accuses his officials of leaking intel. When many in the mainstream media reports denials by many former and current officials it's back to the pro Trump media people to go into overdrive and continue to bash the previous administration.

Whether this war with the past president or the mainstream media is a planned strategy to control the news cycles or to divert attention from their failed efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare remains to be seen. What is happening everyday is we continue to hear Trump to crowd the news with more accusations with no or little evidence to back up his claims. The legislative agenda becomes a minor news and Democrats filibuster to block Supreme Court nominee is being accused as hypocrite even though the GOP clearly stated they won't even consider Obama's nominee to the Supreme Court last year.

Who is the saviour or the destroyer between two very different agendas for the future generations? What is the end game for the current president? Does he plan to surprise everyone with new accusations or push his agenda to pull back the policies of previous president whom he views as socialist to make America great again in his image? Or will he wreaked havoc with the lives of many in pursuit of his agenda?

Whenever we read something that Donald Trump says don't you wonder where does he get these thoughts and ideas ? Is it from his favourite tabloid or his life long experience dealing in his business from property developer to beauty pageants to golf course and to reality TV shows? While he has declared again he will enact great tax reform to make America great again,  it's more likely that big business will benefit more than the average working person. The philosophy behind any tax cuts would be to encourage more private investment and consumption to increase growth and job creation across industries.How much that will work out is hard to predict consider the complexity of the current tax system.

How many of the votes can Trump get to play along his plans and who will he chooses to lead this difficult task ? Will he still rely on the GOP or change tack to woo some moderate Democrats  to back his plans.

More than 5 years ago I started this blog to try writing something that I would like to share and the world has moved on since especially in politics more than in our economy.

Donald J Trump has been elected President of the USA with so much controversy that makes me wonder if he can ' Make America Great Again'. Today his attempt to repeal and replace Obamacare with his version of healthcare law is knocked into coma as he couldn't get enough votes to deliver his first legislative baby in Congress. His earlier attempts through executive orders has created more uncertain for the future.

He has stated that he will move on to   tax reform instead of trying to resuscitate his first baby shows he is aware that he could be losing momentum to spur USA out of it's Fed induced slow recovery. Unless he can get a big bang with his tax reform plans he could fall into a lame duck presidency in his first 60 days.

Much more important is whether he would abandon the economy just like he has abandoned healthcare to carve his legacy in foreign policy instead if he fails again to get the Republican controlled Congress to​approve his second major legislative plan We can see his foreign policy skills on Twitter every day. Let's pray it doesn't need to go there.

We can only wait and see from our shores far away.
